That's probably the best way to represent Dinero... have it happen
off-screen. Maybe the character runs a still during the down time, and
sells his hooch. Or maybe he knows of a secret stash of Twinkies, but he
can only get to it and cash in between sessions or long lulls in the
action. Maybe he's got a well-placed relative in the Iron Oasis that gives
him loans or an allowances whenever he has the time to stop by. And to a
certain extent, you don't have to be really specific about how the
money/bullets/resources show up. The other players notice that, between
sessions, the character disappeared for a few days, and when he showed up
again, he was loaded with extra ammunition... no explanation given, and
none expected.
