as a sonar tech, unless they were able to silence the ghostrock(IIRC ghost
rock moans when it is cosumed), I would say no to ghostrock
subs...........it would kinda defeat the silent service
doctrine..........also if you are going to be basing your adventure out of
Portland, Bremerton Naval Station in Washington does a lot of subops as i
recall.........last i remember, the USN only had 4 deisel boats still in
service, and that was back in 1990, and they were training
platforms......all others are nukes........they either run of the powerplant
or the battries,(for when they really dont want to be seen.
