[HOE] Hell on Water, another boat, plus some.

Hey again,

Thanks for all the great feed back so far!!!

Got another boat idea. I got stuck behind a pontoon boat today and remember
I didn't write one up so here goes:

Pontoon boat
Metal framed platform on hollow metal tubes. Used parties, good times, or a
small fire squad size armored transport.
13 ft.

Cost: $8000
Passengers: 1 driver, 12 passengers
Engine: room for up to 4 outboard motors, first one is free load points rest
cost.
Gas tank: 30 gallon on board fuel cell, additional fuel can be in cans
MPG: depends on motor(s)
Suspension: n/a
Wheels: n/a
Top Speed: reduced motors top speed by 50% (Heay! they are big and clunky
barges on 2 pipes)
Pace: 100
Acceleration: depends on motor(s)
Durability: 5/2
Armor: 3
Handling: +0
Size: +2
Load Limit: 50 passengers count as 4 (not driver)
(May mount weapons in all fire arcs)

Jet Ski
You know, Sea Doo?

Cost: $2500
Passengers: 1 driver, up to 2 passengers
Engine: onboard water jet
Gas tank: 5 gallon internal
MPG: 30
Suspension: n/a
Wheels: n/a
Top Speed: 90 on calm glassy days
Pace: 225
Acceleration: 15 mph
Durability: 1/1
Armor: 1
Handling: +3
Size: -1
Load Limit: 2
(mount only on frount fixed, and if rear facing passenger rear 90)
May carry no additonal motors.

**EXTRAS**
All boats get motors w/o LP cost, unless more than one is mounted.

Outboard motor
Cost: $500
V-3
Top speed: 45
MPG: 30
Acceleration: 5 mph
LP: 1

Outboard motor
Cost: $1000
V-4
Top speed: 55
MPG: 27
Acceleration: 10 mph
LP: 2

Outboard motor
Cost:$1500
V-6
Top speed 60
MPG: 20
Acceleration: 15 mph
LP: 3

PONTOON BOAT ONLY!

Extra pontoon
Cost: free if you can find it
Adds 10 LP's but drops top speed by a third.

More than one motor calculations:
It can be very advantageous to have more than one motor, but it will only
add so much.

And for ease of math, you can only slave motors of the same type together,
you can have spare motors, but not running in tandem with other different
motors.

Motor #1:
top speed as listed.

Motor #2:
Motor #1 top speed + 50%

Motor #3:
Speed of Motor #2 +25%

Motor #4
Speed of Motor #3 +15%

Motor #5
Speed of Motor #4 +5%

Now each motor's fuel effency stays the same, five V-3's running at the same
time would get 6 miles to the gallon (30/5). Sorry thems the brakes, but
five V-3's would have a top speed of 68 MPH.

Now I know there are some "drag" boats out there, but if they are like drag
cars. They need lots of pampering and support. The kind of work and
craftsmanship that really isn't around much. Well it is, but you are not
likely to find it outside the Iron Oasis, or the Chamber, and a whole lot of
good boats to them. :)
