I would agree with the decrease in range and increase in muzzle flash. I think
that It would increase the concealibility due to the barrel being shorter. I
would also add accuracy penalties of some sort. (after all a shortened automatic
rifle is a submachinegun and the are well know for being hard to fire
accuractly.)
