Since absolutely nothing in the description of the syker power mentions
anything about syncronization . . .

Sweep can not be used one handed, unless you have supernatural strength. (

Roll damage as if it was a hit, and then roll the strength check to see if
it continues.
If you want it more complicated, then check the to hit roll. If it was a
clean miss, then it continues. But if it missed because of the passive
defense, then roll for damage for the sole purpose of the strength check.
