The death wound never fully heals.  It heals enough to allow functionality
- but remain somewhat a grotesque reminder of the manner of dying.

A hanged man will have deep rope burns, and perhaps a wobbly neck.  A
drowned man will be somewhat bloated and squishy, a burned man will cracked
and flaking skin, gunshots will be very deep and puckered scars, etc.
