Good point. Almost all good characters have some sort of internal
tension. The really great heros aren't perfect, they have flaws and make
mistakes. I have a lot more fun playing characters who have problems
than characters that don't.
> Then I thought, no, she'd just become a Companion, and do the best she could do. No complaints, just regret that she couldn't step out of her father's shadow.
Grundies can become companions, sure. I'd like to point out that you
could still try to "act like" a Templar even if you don't get rewards.
It sounds like this is the way you're playing the character... your
character does her best to live up to the ethos and way of life
exemplified by the Templars, and may even go so far as to wear a cross
or wave around a pig-sticker... in fact, some people may even believe
she's a Templar based on the way she *acts* as opposed to what powers
she has.

She'd make a great NPC encounter.
> So yes, I'd say that Grundies can become Anti-Templars.
I'd like to see Hopler or someone else settle this officially... I can't
believe I didn't ask about this when I originally posted all my
questions about Grundies. Last Crusaders might not have been out yet...
> And I imagine that Jo might let Katie become a Templar, too.
Hmm. Not so sure about this one. I think Companion would cover that
pretty well. I might make an exception as a reward for a very long
campaign, but that's a carrot I think I'd dangle an awful long time
before I let a grundy actually have it. And I'd probably advise retiring
the character shortly afterwards, as they would have accomplished a
life-long goal at that point.
Cool character, thanks for posting it.
