I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I have a question about
Librarians.

Does anyone else think they are actively seeking Something? Maybe it's my
distrustful nature, but I seriously have to wonder if the Higher Ups in the
Great Library aren't sending all these flunkies out and about to search for
information, while actually looking for something Very Specific in their
findings. Sure, they help out humanity by preserving information, but they
also get what they want....

Kind of like the Royal Court.. Sure, on the outside they are just Riverboat
Gamblers, etc.. then, a little deeper, it's a society to "protect"
Hucksters, then a little deeper, it's a group of evil, evil Hucksters led by
Ernst Biren..

I'm not saying I think the Librarians are actually evil, just not exactly as
benevolent as they seem... or have an ulterior motive.
