[HoE] Re: Shields



I disagree on the aspect of Deftness applying to shield use, but that is
a matter of viewpoint and really inconsequential.  I agree with the idea
of allowing the AV to count if the 'shield arm' is randomly (or called
shot) struck in combat.  Furthermore, you have a very valid point about
the raise to block the attack.  The only thing I can think of as a
counter-point is that a vamoose normally requires the character to move
elsewhere (dive for cover, etc), this allows the character to give no
ground.  I dunno if its worth the raise though.  That's a very good
point.  Thanks for the response.
