This should be directed to John Hopler since he's riding herd on the Wasted West. As far as the
alliance goes, there's not much more public knowledge available than what appears in the Gazeteer
portion of Iron Oasis. For those Marshal's out there who are dying to know a little of the "inside"
scoop, see below.

Okay...hopefully I'm not stepping on John's toes by letting out too much here. The Boise Horror
adventure (due out very soon--this month, I think) does go into detail on the possible treaty. I don't
want to get too indepth here 'cause it's a large part of the adventure and even with the long spoiler
warning above I'm sure some players are going to inadvertantly see this message. Long and short of it,
certain groups interested in the protection of what civilization remains have noted that they have a
_very_ well-equipped threat poised on the eastern slopes of the Rockies and they had better get their
act together unless they're tired of living.
That should give you enough info to figure out what's going on. Of course, as always, you're free to
scrap that and have the treaty be for another purpose--or a rumor altogether.
The events that transpire in the Boise Horror are big--setting-changing big--so I heartily recommend it
(shameless plug, shameless plug)! ;-)
