Thinking you're invincable when you aren't makes you easy bait for an ambush.
Attack with a tough yet beatable group, they lose a few and and fall back.
Templer figure they aren't just bait since they were competent and well armed
(as opposed to throw away mooks) and gives chase to stop them (or alternativley,
has to give chase... they have stolen something/have information/are headed off
to do Something Bad) and walk right into a big mess... black hats, doomies,
cyborgs, whatever. No matter how tough you are concentrated fire from numerous
opponents will hurt you. Especially if one of them has something like a junker
built Very Big Gun.
Or maybe just a sniper would do... after showing how well he can wade through
the baddies he'd be designated a prime target by a sniper concealed quite a
distance away. Hmmm... a junker sniper....

Even a small rock would kill if dropped from high enough to have terminal
velocity, though I don't think the play would like it, it far too heavy handed.
Now if you could convince him to stand on a big red cross painted on the ground
he would have no reason to complain when a 20 ton weight falls on him. :)
