I would have been rather off-put if Pinnacle had included a basic maths primer
in the Junker book. Also offended at the implication that the average
role-player doesn't get the whole "Multiplication before addition" concept.
And as Matt said, basic fractions are covered in primary school.
Now if the Junker book had formula involving complex numbers, logarithmic
equations, integrals and that damn hyperbolic tangent thingy I could never
fully understand I'd expect people to complain.
I like to think that the methods Pinnacle used are well within the grasp of at
least 95% of their target audience. <Broad Generalization Mode> But then,
I've always liked to think that role players tend to be of above average
intellegence.

I certainly wouldn't want to be doing junker style calculations every round in
combat, but once per item is no problem.
