[HoE] Pre-Last War History Question

Hi!

Quick question for all on Road Warriors, Cyborgs, and the junkers
sourcebook: how much background can be gotten from these books on pre-Last
War history, especially concerning 1939-1945?  I remember a post a short
time ago mentioning Cyborgs had some info on WWII-era strangeness, or at
least mentioning it leveling off around that time.  I haven't gotten Road
Warriors or the junkers sourcebook since my players have no interest in
those character types, and Cyborgs hasn't shown up in any game store around
here, so I'd appreciate any help here.
