[HoE] A Cyborgs, or as the French would say.. a Can Can
Someone here wanted some Cans, here are two NPC cans I dreamt up (by the way,
those of you who have Cyborgs.. did you find the whole 'spirit' loss thing as
confusing as I did? Like, the innate systems, do you suffer spirit loss for
those...).
"SawGrin"
A nine foot monstosity with seemingly extendible arms and a psychotic bent.
A heavy Can, that picture sums him up except his hideous face seems
deformeded as it seems to have been busted apart and put back together..
badly. The jaw is hideously underslung and seems out of proportion to the
rest of his ugly face.
Charles Sagrin was a CSA cop in Atlanta. A brutal, ignorant man, he
enforced the laws with brutality. During one bust, a perp attacked him from
behind and as Sagrin turned, the Perp crushed his face with a lead pipe and
beat him to death.
When he 'awoke', the CSA had turned him into a can for use in mining and
defence in the Maze. He was in a chasm in the maze doing reconnaissance when
the bombs fell and he climbed out to a world where the war he was fighting
was over. He now acts as a thug for gangs looking for such. He constantly
talks to himself and 'sister Margaret' (his AI).
The AI has control whenever it wants to assume it, but it only enforces
Sagrin's rules of engagement, of which a couple have been twisted. He must
obey any CSA officer. Once a week, he must 'confess to Sister Margaret'.
What he is actually doing is reporting his experiences on a secured CSA
channel (one that the players may want to listen in on if they want to find
him). He tries to kill all he fights as well (no witnesses, if he leaves
witnesses, sister Margaret punishes him).
But the religious orientation of Sister Margaret has made her introduce
other rules. Doomsayers and Templars are 'Heretics' whom she orders Sawgrin
to attack first and kill to the distraction of all else. Yet, he must never
kill someone wearing a bona-fide crucifix (not just a cross, a Crucifix).
Hint hint.. THESE RULES ARE HOW PC's DEAL WITH THIS GUY!!

Hinderances: Bloodthirsty, Weak Willed, Superstitious, Ugly as sin (see
below)
Unnatural appetite: rocks (see below)

Cyberware:
All the usuals for heavy combat cans (cyber eye.. samson system.. hard
points.. etc)
Cyber arms and torso. Heavy battle armor (AV6)
Grappling hands (can be fired and retracted) with grips (that's 4d12+8
grip! and it gets nastier too!)
Shocker sysem (cooks the 'meat' before...)
SPECIAL:
Buzzsaw teeth.... When reconstructing Sagrin's face, his lower jaw and
teeth were replaced with a high power rotary grinders. Sagrin will grap a
foe with the grapples, drag them in, and then his jaw will open like a snake
detatching its jaws. His 'teeth' will then seem to rotor around as the
victim sees that each tooth is actually a small rotating blade. This
requires the victim (and anyone watching it) to make a guts check vs a 7.
Fun fact... inside Sagrin is a geological analyzer which tests ingested
substances for veins of gold, silver, and ghost rock.
