[HoE] Request for evaluation of a relic
One of the characters in my game got a relic as a mysterious background. He
has allowed me a little leeway in his character background, and together we
came up with the following:
His name is Skarr now, but that wasn't the name he was born with, He was
born Robbie Knievel III. He is 16 (And has the Kid hindrance) and his family
was in a caravan headed to New Austin when they were attacked by a skavvie
roadgang. Robbie was the only survivor. He survived by hiding under a pile
of blankets in the back of the station wagon he was in. The Roadgang took
all they could carry, but decided the blankets were worthless, and set the
caravan on fire. (The station wagon was engineless, and was drawn by two
oxen, which were butchered by the gang.) Robbie was severly burned trying to
escape, giving him scars all over (And the Ugly as Sin hindrance). Once he
was out, he was `healed' by someone, he doesn't know who. But when he awoke,
he was in a building with a small pack of goods and weapons, and a
motorcycle. His father had told him of his great great grandfather, and his
father, and of the courageous stunts they performed, and made sure his son
knew how to ride. `To carry of the tradition'. Then two days later, his
father left, to never return. That was the reason the family was on the
move.
The motorcycle was Robbie Knievel Sr. and had been handed down and very
carefully cared for. In my game, I decided it was a relic with the following
stats:
+5 to Drivin: Motorcycle rolls involving stunts or jumps.
+2 to all other Drivin: Motorcycle rolls
Taint: If you ever go bust on a Drivin:Motorcycle roll on the bike, you take
+3d10 damage, if you miss your roll, you take +1d10 damage above crash
damage.
Any suggestions or critisisms welcome, and requested.
