Only one problem with that.  The Saint wouldn't be a character he played.
Take John Wayne for instance.

The Actors would be a different kind of hero, but still a hero,
none-the-less.  They do not kill abominations and lower the fear level
thus.  Instead, they bring the general outlook of the people up a notch.
Mr. Fat's many roles on the Silver Screen would give people hope.   They
wouldn't fear the slimey underbelly of society as much, nor would they be
as reserved about taking up arms against their foes.  

I've always said that you can judge a good action movie by when you leave
the theatre.  When you're walking out, if you want to go out and kick some
ass, then it was a good movie.  CYF has always given me such a feeling.  I
don't quite know what he would be the saint of.  Vigilantes is already
taken, I think....  Retribution is as well, I believe...  We shall see.
