At this point, just get the Compendium if all you want is the rules, or the
Deluxe Cars Wars set, which basically has the Compendium, some maps, and some
counters. From there you can figure out what else you might want. Most of the
other stuff isn't really needed for Road Warriors type play...

I also believe the maps and counters are sold separately, if you want to just
use the Road Warrior rules and wants some good counters for it. The scale is
almost exactly the same. (And I love the smashed vehicle counters for Car
Wars...)
