[HoE] I got it!!
The first movie was Tetsuo: The Iron Man, the second was Tetsuo II: Body
Hammer.
Yes, technically he ripped out his own bones, but that's not what turned him
into a cyborg.
Since the 1st film is a very abstract work, and the 2nd one is only slightly
more understandable, I will try to translate.
The main story revolves around two brothers who were experimented on by
their father when they were very young. If any of you have seen Bubblegum
Crisis, they essentially gained the power of 'Fusion' from these
experiments, allowing them to incorporate technology into their own bodies.
This leads to the overall theme of humanity versus machinery, as one of the
boys gives in to his nature, and becomes a weapon, just like dear old dad
intended. The other, Tetsuo, represses all of his horrible memories, and
sides with humanity, becoming a normal salariman.
Naturally the evil brother shows up, and they fight, turn into strange
techno monsters, and try to kill one another. The second one is pretty much
the same, 'cept the evil guy is dying from a strange rust disease.
