Actually, in the Brain Burner book, they are listed as Special, with the
description of it as a Vamoose action down further in the text.
The only Vamoose-type Syker ability that is specifically listed as such that
I can find right off hand is Negator. The other "Special" speeds seem to
relate more to cumulative or variable effects or stuff like that (Brain
Bomb, Mind Transference, Memory Maker...that kind of thing).
But...
(and this is more a game design question than a rules question, since you
can build your own Hexes, Syker abilities, etc.)
...what is the criteria and limitations for making something a Vamoose-type
ability?
The only criteria I can determine that excludes Force Field is that you are
responding specifically to counter/negate a single action that your opponent
is taking (dodging a shot, Negating a supranatural ability). I wish it were
a bit clearer in the rules, though.
(And that reminds me of another question, but I'll post on that separately.)
