Greetings,

     In HOE, Edge points and Aptitude points are all taken from the same
pool. There is no tie to Hindrances as there is in Deadlands. You still get
extra points for Hindrances (up to 10), but you are not required to take
any. Thus it is entirely possible for a starting HOE character to have
upwards of 46 points of Edges. They'll have no skills, of course, but that's
their problem :)
