PEG just recently reorganized its reps for each system... I forget who wound
up with HOE. But for any basic rules question, send it to Deadlands@aol.com
(unless you need an immediate answer). Otherwise, I'd bother Hal Mangold
next, then John Hopler. Try and avoid Shane unless you desperately need a
quick answer... poor guy must be working some kind of 26-hour day.
Usually if the question is about a sourcebook, we can ask the author directly
(Paul, Goff, etc.). For main rulebooks, I'm pretty sure the Deadlands@aol.com
will handle that.

I've never seen a rule anywhere that specifically says whether the Marshall
should hide his cards or not. I usually put them behind the screen because I
generally don't have much space anywhere else, but I really can't think of any
objections on why the posse shouldn't see them. I can always say the cards
are for keeping track of something else. Really, I'd say it's up to your
personal preference, and if the Ace of Spades guy wants to take a look, I'd
say go ahead and let 'im. Maybe the ash-white color of his face will strike
fear and terror into the other players... hah.
Anyway, if you want to keep the cards hidden, here's a compromise: It's
extremely unlikely that the Ace of Spades guy is going to want anything less
than your high card, so just tell him what your highest card is if he asks.
It's not like all the PCs aren't going to find out anyway as soon as you start
calling out aces and facecards.
