[HoE] Law Dogs questions [shane]

I would first off like to say this is yet another good sourcebook.
I've only had it for a week, and I've been able to put every chapter
to good use.
Anyways, I had a few questions about some of the new rules and such...

1) When a player attempts a disarming shot, is the gun penalty (the
penalty for the gun you're removing) on top of, or in place of, the -6
penalty for the called shot to the hand.

2)Do cards appear in a person's hand when they use a hexslinger hex?

3) How is it possible that one roleplaying company can make soooooo
many cool things in the space of two years? I mean, Deadlands, GRW,
AND HOE, not to mentions the minis, sourcebooks, and adventures; it
just ain't human!  Level with us, you're the fifth reckoner,  aren't
you?
