[HoE] Apocalypse Now questions
Howdy all - got a suggestion of sorts, as well as some minor questions.
I don't know how many other people play or played Feng Shui, the
currently defunct action movie rpg, but one of the (many) things I like
about the game is the Signature Weapon schticks you can get.
Essentially, for those of you who haven't played, a Signature Weapon
does more damage than it's non-signature counterparts, is somehow tied
in with the character's history and melodramatic hook, and is pretty
much indestructible.
An example is a cop whose hook is that he's seeking vengeance for the
death of his partner, and wants to kill the goon who offed his friend
with his friends gun. The triads bomb the cop's bedroom while he's in
his bathroom - the bedroom is wasted, but the gun flies out of the
explosion and lands at the cop's feet undamaged.
Has anyone considered doing something of the sort for Hell on Earth? I
know it can be sort of covered by the Relic edge, but that doesn't have
quite the feel I'm looking for. I was thinking of putting something like
it in my game, costing 5 bounty or something, and requiring the weapon
in question to be somehow tied in with the character's past and
customised in some way...any comments?
Now just a question or two about the Apocalypse Now adventure that comes
with the Radiation Screen.
Just in case, I'd better put in a little
*****SPOILER SPACE*****
What are the stats for the sniper rifle and the 12mm minigun? I've
looked around on the web, and I found the stats for the Barrett, but I
think that's just a little too cruel...
"OK, I approach the fence, making sure to stay out of the sight of those
machine gun nests..."
<Marshal rolls a few dice>
"Your knee disappears in a spray of blood and bone - if you really
wanted to, you could put your foot in your mouth to stifle your
screams..."
That's just too sick - I don't even know why I wrote it...
