Hmm... maybe. It occurred to me today that Earth's devastation may well
be mirrored in the Hunting Grounds (if I was Pure Evil on a Stick, and let
out of the hellish realm I was trapped in for God knows how long, I'd sure
wreck some things on my way out). If that's the case, the nature spirits
may be too busy fighting for their own survival to honor the ancient
pacts. hmm... sorta like Ravenite spirits (ignoring their vows, to
concentrate on survival).
Alternately, you could give Old Ways characters Guardian Spirits but no
favors (so a PC could spend chips to use favors that the spirit itself
grants).
