Re: [HoE] HOE thoughts n stuff (SPOILERS, you have been warned)

<< (4) The new archetypes are pretty cool, although, like with Deadlands, I'll
probably see more possibilities in them when their respective books come out.
Sykers, at the moment, don't do a lot for me, but I bet that'll change when
their book is released. Templars and Doomsayers have enough possibility in
them characterwise, but their respective "powers" seem a little hard to come
up with my own gimmicks for. >>

I think that the presented archetypes are excellent. The sykers are fairly
interesting but I don't feel any draw towards them at the moment. The
doomsayers are great, I like their rules and I have allready heard an
excellent doomsayer character idea. The templar rules are great and their
cockyness is a great balance to the blessed. The ravenite and indian brave
characters are interesting enough and have enough history that I want to play
one (something I still can't say about Deadlands indians). The junker rules
are utterly insane yet great- and their unique style is entertaining ( In
Deadlands, if a mad. built a couple jet packs- they would look alike for the
most part, but a junker couldn't make two jet packs at all alike, one could be
in a computer casing and the other jammed on an I-beam). The Road Warrior
Arch., nice recreation. The law dogs are a nice variation of the texas-
rangers/pinkertons/fire-fighters I had seen in deadlands. Also, the tale-
teller archetype I have fallen in love with (maybe I'm saying too much there).
