I'm inclined to agree... Stone is a significant element of the Deadlands
setting, and it can be interesting to discuss him... in a friendly fashion,
of course. :-)
I sort of find these discussions of various systems interesting, to be
honest, because different gamers bring many different outlooks on each
version. Personally, for Deadlands I am very much old school and love the
original system, thus feeling no need to change.
In fairness to D20 systems, though, I openly admit that our group has been
involved in an ongoing 3E D&D game since last September...

It was a good thread, a valid point, and the end result is that the actual
role of Stone in campaigns is much better defined.
And the final and only truly valid point was that your players had a blast
taking him down.
