Re: [DL] Look out! Rattlers!!!

I finally got to see what I assume was the first episode of Tremors on
Wednesday (though there was no Chris Lloyd, so maybe it wasn't the first one
- can someone let me know... the plot of the one I saw was someone was
using a sound device to really infuriate the critter into a feeding frenzy).
Being a Canucklehead, I had to wait for Space channel up here to air it.

It was a pretty good show, all told, though I will be interested to see how
far they can extend the storyline. So far it seems they only have one
"rattler", as it were, left... if the writers aren't really on their game,
the plot could get old fast. I'm hoping it can go the distance, though.

I'm a little reminded of the old "Something is Out There" series that tried
to get started many years ago... the movie was good. The tv series only
held it together for maybe six episodes, though.

Ok, well, I can say that it couldn't have been USA. They are one in the
same. Hence the Dead Zone and all the crappy USA movies that seem to air
there.

I seem to hear that it was Showtime. Kinda x-over for the SG-1 thing. But,
that's neither here nor there. This could, however, lead way to the same
thing with other series being pulled: Motion Pictures. Worked for Star
Trek. Could work for X-Files. Might lead to FarScape.

Also, on an aside, did anyone else hear the rumor that Sci Fi may pick up
"Firefly?" Good possibility of Tremors running the length until "Firefly"
gets picked up. Since no more "Buffy," Joss has gotta be wanting to do more.
