I almost always use a strong, liquid two part epoxy
when repairing figures. You can get epoxies that
harden in 5 minutes, and are easily paintable.
I know people who swear by cyanoacrylate (superglue)
but I find that the bond does not tend to last.
If you use an epoxy putty (such as milliput or GW's
greenstuff) it is best to bond it with a little liquid
epoxy first. This makes a stronger bond, and you can
sculpt the greenstuff with a blade or file thereafter.
