Sorry.  Too enthusiastic, and not enough time typing.

I meant "nuking them all to hell, then let them come back from hell, and
tie up lose ends".

After reading everyone's comments, the analogy of "Tranformers: The
Movie" comes to mind - lots of people die, the stakes are really high,
but all in all, the good guys come out ahead.  But the world is not the
same afterwards.

That's what I meant.  :-)
