Upon looking around to see if an 1880's reprint was done, I ran across this

I've been reminded by this thread of a wonderful game resourse,
especially for late 1800s and early 1900s genres.
This is a reprint of the 1897 Sears catalogue, and is a fascinating
read, even if you don't use it in your game. Five years ago, I collated
information on the major sections and items listed in it, and posted it
to the net. I'll do it again here:

The following (LONG) list is collated from a copy of the 1897
Sears, Roebuck and Co. catalog. This catalog is a wonderful introduction
to the world of 1897 America: arsenic pills, corsets, boy's sailor
suits, razor strops, butter churns, and other picture postcards.
This list can be of extreme use to any GM setting a game in the
late 19th or early 20th centuries (Space 1889 and Castle Falkenstein
people, pay attention!). Even if your game is not set during this
period, this list can still be of use with some judicious tweaking.
I highly recommend the catalog to anyone wishing more detail Due
to my reluctance to spend more time than I already have, I've breezed
through the products listed in the catalog's 786 pages, and fudged some
of the data. I've left out numerous minor items, and included many other
items that caught my attention.
The price range listed represents different brands, materials,
and/or slightly different products. For instance, the price listed for
"Books" ($00.12 - $04.25) includes dictionaries, medical references,
atlases, adventure stories, mysteries, poetry, etc.
BTW, for the truly curious, the information listed here is in the
same order as presented in the catalog. I've also tried to keep the same
names, thought some might be confusing or misleading.
