Hello, glad to see fresha faces here every now & then.
For hexes, I have hearned the hard way that the best types to pick are the
ones that you can use BEFORE you go into combat, and are fairly subtle.
"Fer instance," Plugging away with Black Lightning or Soul Blast may sound
cool up until you're in the middle of combat, & the best hands you can get
are the minimum, all the while the bad guys are shooting at you with Sharps
Big .50s or worse. However, getting called out for a duel, & pulling off,
say skinnin' or Kentucky Windage, before you even get out in the street,
that's nice. May not be much of a increase to you abilities, but every
little bit helps. Other ones are what I'd call informational
hexes--speaking to foreigners, listening to telegraph messages, etc.
As for posting characters on the list, not sure, but I think that's frowned
upon. One helpful advice I can give you is buy the Guts skill. Last game I
played in, our gang went into a major bad area, & one fella missed his guts
check so bad, he had a heart attack, missed his Vigor check, & died before
we even went anywhere. That kind of sucked for him.
