Unless one or both of "the yellow bellies" have the Heroic hinderance as
well and chose to go against it, I don't think they should suffer any
true penalty other than the fact that the one who did stop the train
should have gotten more chips for that adventure then they did. As for
getting the Hated hinderance, that should only happen if the townspeople
know that they were abandoned. Even so, I wouldn't make the hinderance
more than one point, and would allow them to buy it off over time by
doing good deeds in town.If you have already given the two of them the
same chips for the adventure that you gave the hero, then maybe
slighting them a chip at the beginning of the next adventure would be a
way to make up for that.
