I've been rather fortunate to have played Deadlands
with several women over the years. When Deadlands
first came out, at the time my girlfriend played with
us because it was the only RPG she liked. She wasn't a
gamer, but the wild west was something she could
relate to. 
Recently, I've had two women playing in my group.
Neither are predictable players in any sense and
neither are there because their boyfriend plays. Both
joined from being gamers and hearing that I was
running a Deadlands game (I'm rather proud of this
point because most of the gamer women I meet are
always ones who play with their boyfriend, neither of
these women even have boyfriends).
I've seen one other woman Deadlands player, and that
is Tonya. I've heard stories about Tonya too, or
rather, about Tonya's characters. She has a reputation
for not taking prisoners. 'Nuff said.

I'm sure there's one out there that most of us are
thinking of at the moment our eyes draw across those
