Re: [DL] DL20, Mad Scientists, and Concoct Potion
YOu dont mean that its the same as Brew Potion that allows one to capture
spells in an elixar? But then again, considering that Mad Scientists cant
cast spells, I guess its not that powerfull of dropping it from a 3rd level
spellcaster feat to a first level spellcaster feat. ;)
Expecialy in a low magic setting. then again would it be devine or archane
magic?
I was thinking of doing something like treating it like a create gizmo, but at
a skill check of 15+ 2*spell level to be replicated. If failed by 10 or more,
then the test subject must make a fort save of 20 + 2*spell level or die.
Heaven forbid the Mad Scientist tried the concoction on himself instead of a
rodant... Skill check to used would depend on affect to be replicated, ie, a
Fireball (Improved Alchemist's Fire) would be different from a Cure Moderate
Wounds (Morphiene).
But these were just my guesses, and I didnt want to go that way if something
was writen in stone somewhere.
TIA.
