Unfortunately, It is a common problem with our party also. Especially now that summer is arriving and everyone has to make vacation plans and the need to medicate there cabin fever. We can end up going sometimes more than 1 week with playing and it does cause some memory loss. > That's way I always start the session with a short re-cap, where I ask the players to tell each others what happened last time, and fill in the gaps. I always recap when I am the Marshal or DM or GM. Does not matter what system, I always prepare a small 10 minute recap of the important issues. We are currently playing in a HOE campaign and for the extra chip, I am preparing a log told in 3rd person by a NPC Librarian that travels with our party. I include her views on the party including on my own character, with the help of the Marshall filling me in on things I missed to make it more complete. Already got 6 pages for 2 sessions of play and haven't finished the recap yet. Any way, Recaps are a great tool to use. Sean |
