Stgreaves is the MS/Huckster detailed in the City O' Gloom.  Sometime before 1889 many of the metal mages (what the MS/Hucksters are called) form a group called the sons of Stgreaves.  They know the truth about MS.

No, but after 1889 info is leaked about where the information comes from.  However the Epitaph is the National Enqurirer of the time, so the info wouldn't be widely believed.  Imagine reading a headline today that said "Bill Gates makes deal with devil"
