I'd be tempted to either fudge it enourmously; only do the dice for the 
parts the PCs are involved in.  Or preroll a lot.  If all the NPCs have the 
same stats, preroll 100 shootin' rolls, 40 quickness rolls, etc.  Then you 
can just say, "the 17 soldiers fire" check the TNS, and cross off the next 
17 to hit rolls.
