Thanks very much, good sir!

It is possible for a Musician to be issued Ranger Gear, but the
"if" and "what" is something I felt had to be left up to the Marshals to
decide on a case-by-case basis, as they know their Posses and planned
scenarios better than I ever could. However, given how scarce they are, and
how potentially catastrophic the loss of one might be, I can't imagine any
AB (save for perhaps a Huckster and/or Shootist) being given one under
*almost* any circumstances.
Also, please keep in mind, that with the exceptions of the Badge
and Standard-Issue "Bible", most Ranger Gear is in short supply. If a
commanding officer has, say, a LeMat Undertaker to issue has to decide
between giving it to one Ranger who can turn into a wolf and bring
razor-sharp claws & teeth to a fight, and another who just has a hand with
some skin on it, the werewolf probably loses out.
I would imagine that when it comes time to parcel out almost all
Gear, this is pretty much what it comes down to, and the AB folks usually
come out on the short end. That said, if the success of a mission
*absolutely* depended on it, I'm sure an exception might be made, at least
temporarily.
Ultimately, Ranger Gear is meant to allow mundane Rangers to
battle the supernatural with some hope of success, not to make already
paranormally powerful Rangers even more so.
