| Also keep in mind that the only way Britain got into India was through the East India Company and the Company's private military/police force. Unless the East India Company or another powerful trading interest wanted to take the US, it'd be through them. Or it would be through mercenary soldiers (the main force of the British in American Revolution was made up of German mercenaries). |
