You can have more than 10 points of hindrances, but you only receive 10 points, at maximum, to buy edges or aptitudes with 'em. You can take every Hindrance, but after 10 points, you aren't getting any benefit other than the potential roleplaying opportunities for your fat, stupid, legless, armless, blind, deaf, ugly and mute character.
