RE: [DL] Swords



Don't know about swords going away so quick.  If you are on horseback in the
midst of battle, and you've fired your six shots (or otherwise emptied your
firearm), do you stop to reload or grab a saber and start swingin'?  Men on
horse (officers and cavalry) could use swords/sabers, infantry got bayonets.
Edged weapons never run out of ammo.

This is based on no actual first hand knowledge or specialized training,
tho. ;-)
