I was under the impression that three was about the limit (as a rule of
thumb, on certain topics even one is too many).  If you were replying the
third time to an OT post then it was time to take it private or to the OT
list (a dangerous endeavor at best).  

Is this no longer a valid rule of thumb?  Are people here now less tolerant
of OTness?  Even if it's humorous?
