Hi,
    I am working in a Deadlands universe which has a Confederate mint in New
Orleans producing Gold coins so, we can ignore whether or not they were
available.  The case in question involves a character taking money out of
the First Bank of New Orleans and lugging them into the Coyote Confederacy
which means he doesn't want paper money.  Given that he is in New Orleans he
should be able to withdraw the cash in the most compact form possible, hence
double eagles.
    The reason I want to know is that I'm trying to figure out what he'll in
the way of horses.  If 1 double eagle=1 ounce then $15,000, = 46.875 lbs,
which means he will need one pack horse to carry the gold.  Thanks for the
