Well, the campaign I'm running is still my first (in Deadlands, at least),
and we're only up to March of '76 thus far (we started in late '75), so
there's still most of the Deadlands universe out there to be explored -
we've only scratched the surface. Also, due to the military backgrounds
of half of the posse (to cut a long story short, the huckster recently
made himself an official deserter from the Confederate Army rather than just
an escaped POW, and the gunslinger was an officer for the Union before
circumstances caused him to leg it - and boy, does he ooze "officer" through
any disguise) they'd be very likely to take off at the first sign of anything
 soldierly.

That said, (yah, this is going to sound like boot-licking, but it's not) I
really liked Tales o' Terror: 1877 and I'll be working in some element of
the November Offensives when that time comes. Also, once they get as far
west as they want to go (currently crossing the Rockies from Denver to
Salt Lake City) I can start steering them east again, so we can start
exploring the War, amongst other things. I did say something the other week
to one of my posse members along the lines of "the guy who wrote this book
is on the mailing list and he mentioned that he has a complete-but-unofficial
Civil War timeline for Deadlands on his computer, so I've been contemplating
going to his house and stealing his hard disk".

Regarding Patrick Cleburne, I haven't actually heard of him outside of
Deadlands. A friend of mine did mention a story about a house somewhere
near her point of origin (County Cavan) that used to be maintained as a
tourist attraction because it's Where Such-and-such An American General Was
Born. Then some tourists pointed out that the reason this guy was famous
was because of his remarkable Indian-butchering, so they stopped maintaining
and promoting it then. Can't remember the guy's name, though - I'll check
 it out if you like.

Finally, nobody calls it "Eire". :>)
