I can say that I'm Irish and so are my posse (living in Ireland will do
that to a group) and although I kinda like the rules and think they
seem fairly balanced and all, they don't interest me, and I doubt they'd
interest my players either. The main attraction of Deadlands is not the
existance of weird stuff, but the setting. On the other hand, I do like
the fact that the rules exist - Martial Artists, for example, aren't
very Wild Westy at all (except for that TV show) but are a lot of fun
and can fit in okay, and the same could go for Faerie Doctors (jeez, I'd
really like to know the correct name for such folks) - a stranger in a
strange land with strange powers righting wrongs.

I guess it's just nice to have a factility for Irish people in a Western
 who aren't large brawny red-haired drunken barefist-brawlers. :>)
