Rather than going for the balls to the wall blow it up
and let God sort it out method of creature behaviour
modification, how about the Hollywood classic of
imprisoning it?

No damage is caused if you seal it up in a mine shaft
after applying a blokey amount of dynamite to the
enterance. Sure it might dig its way out after a few
tens of years but by then it'll be someone elses
problem to deal with ;-)

The creature won't take any damage from the gigatonnes
of rock just dropped on to its head but it still has
to find a way out of there before it can reap a
terrible revenge. 

Just a thought.
