If you're looking for dirges & laments, I might also add 
"The Dying Rebel" which I've also heard called 
"Will My Soul Pass Through the South-Lands?". I've heard
this one even in Irish pubs down here in Savannah, and 
it can be quite haunting indeed, depending on who's singing
it. I can't help you with artists, though-- I only know the 
live performers I've heard.
