Re: [[DL] Dime Novel errata]
I have not actually run that one myself, but I have read the story part of the
first one, so I am familiar with the modules of which you speak. I do not
believe their has been any official errata or ruling on this.
I recommend you evaluate the adventure parts and determine what in them is
worth chips. Look for key points in the adventure that they could either
bypass or resolve by violence and give them a chip if they do not bypass it
and do not resort to violence (where it is not nessecary). For example, a
building collapses trapping several people. If they stop to help, they should
get some credit for it. If they keep walking, they don't deserve any chips.
Then determine how important what they did was, and what their likelihood to
do what they did was. For example, if there was a situation in which they
went out of their way to risk their lives to save someone, this might be worth
a blue chip. If they help dig people out of the collapsed building example
above, most heroes would have done this anyway, so only a white chip would be
earned.
These are only examples mind you, and the situations in the books you are
looking at would likely be very different. You just have to adapt that idea
to the situations in the campaign you are looking at. Of course, these are
just suggestions, and someone else might be able to tell you better.
