RE: [DL] Campaign Details
Try this variation: the Preachers/Midwives record births in the _family_
bible, not their own. My mother and mother-in-law both have bibles that
have in effect become family heirlooms, with the history of births, deaths,
and marriages recorded within. Yeah, the preacher might record these
things, but his bible is only so big, and if he has a large flock, then he
just won't have enough room. And yeah, explaining why the preacher's bible
is missing is kinda hard. But if each family were responsible for their own
record keeping, then missing family bibles are explained by saying things
like "Cousin Susie borrowed it" or even "it was here yesterday" when the
villain has absconded with the book.
