Happens all the time.
It has just as much to with how e-mail gets routed across the internet than
anything else.

Is yahoo the only account you are using?
Yahoo! mail goes through periods where it is fairly unreliable (the past
month or so being one of them).
I sub to a bunch of lists at my regular and yahoo accounts, and the time lag
for some messages to be available is unbelievable.
